Unassigned Projects

Community Engineering Corps has projects that are looking for the right team to help. Take a look at the list of unassigned projects and find the best fit for your team, or build your own project! To submit an application for an unassigned CECorps project, fill out the 542 Project Team Application on our Resources Page. CA - water source & hydrogeologic investigation

We are looking for a student or professional project team to assist the Lake Morena, CA community with water source and hydrogeologic investigation, producing a preliminary engineering report, and final construction drawings (plans and specs).

For more information, please contact us at cecinfo@ewb-usa.org.

MD - drinking water system repair

This HOA’s system is aging and repair and preventive maintenance are strictly reactive with residents filling in when a crisis repair is needed. They employ a contract operator who checks the well and well house as the permit requires, but the system is being “band aided” at best. The proposed project is a study of the community’s options for furnishing drinking water to its 24 homes.

For more information, please contact us at cecinfo@ewb-usa.org.

VI - land stabilization and stormwater runoff control

This project involves the stabilization of a steep hillside that was stripped of protective vegetation by the two recent Category 5 hurricanes, with subsequent subsidence onto and around the only roadway between the eastern and western halves of the island of St. John. This project consists of a combination of hillside stabilization and control of storm water runoff from the steep hillsides.

For more information on how to get involved with this hurricane recovery project, please email us at cecinfo@ewb-usa.org.

Build Your Own Project

Want to create a project in your own community? Most of our projects come from collaborative efforts made by our members working with organizations in their area. Yours could be next!

How do you get started? If you are not already familiar with an appropriate partner in your community, some of the best places to check in with are local nonprofits, neighborhood associations, social service providers, or other community-based groups. They will often be able to identify needs either within their group or with their partners and constituents.

Once you identify and establish a solid community partnership, the community can submit a 541 Community Application (found on our Resources Page) to kick off the project!

For more information, reach out to cecinfo@ewb-usa.org.

We are busy cultivating new relationships through our community outreach efforts and YOU have a say in where we work. Let us know where you’d like to see projects!
